We replaced diesel tractors with electric tractors and it dropped our fuel use by more than two thirds. We posted the plans for conversion on the web and over one hunder have been built in the US.

We have identified the UK David Brown 2D as suitable for electric tractor conversion. Unfortunately we have tried to get funding to develop a prototype. We are looking in the region of £3k to do the conversion and then we will charge it from the National Grid whilst purchasing our energy from Ecotricity. If you would like to donate towards this project then please contact us. Once built we will release the designs free of charge under a creative commons licence.
